This printer is good when it works. However, I have found that mine only works fifty percent of the time. The other fifty percent of the time it jams. Very aggravating.

This printer works pretty well. It warms up fast and prints cleanly. The toner cartridges last a long time and are reasonably priced.
The paper feed system is a little bit poorly designed, however. The feed mechanism is not strong enough to handle thicker papers. I tried printing on light cardstock with this printer, but the paper got jammed every time. Also, the printer is designed such that you need to open a door on the front of it to put paper in. The rather large compartment revealed by this door tends to accumulate dust when the door is open (and it always is open unless you want to take all the paper out in between uses).
Another annoying thing about the Mac setup for this printer is that Dell does not supply a Mac-compatible driver for it. Despite the lack of official support from Dell, this printer will work on a Mac because it is the same printer as the Samsung ML-2010 other than the logo on the front. Just download the driver from Samsung's site if you want to use this printer with a Mac.

This printer works great. It is ready to print in just a few seconds when you turn it on. I plugged it in my Windows 7 PC and laptop, Windows 7 detected the printer installed the drivers and it was ready to print in less than 2 minutes. This has proven to be a solid reliable printer.
