A Pleasantly Compact, Lightweight, and No-Frills Keyboard Mar 26, 2010
By Avid Reviewer
"A Music Fan"
I'm not a big fan of Dell, but I'll have to admit Dell's really hit a home run with this one. With its minimalist design, the Dell L100 USB Keyboard is unpretentious and exudes a trim and clean-cut aesthetic appeal - a welcome departure from what seems to the norm for most keyboards designs these days: keyboards that are oversized and crammed with superfluous functions that most people simply have little or no use for. It is ultra compact and lightweight and, more importantly, it works flawlessly. If you're looking for a no-frills keyboard, I think you'll be pretty happy with this one.

Loud, too much travel, not for fast typists Apr 16, 2012
By K. Ventura They have this model attached to computers at my law school, and after three years of suffering through the experience I am commenting on Amazon as a warning to others. If you need a keyboard, look elsewhere!
As the other reviewers have already noted, the keys on here are loud. This is not a problem itself, but the quality of the sound is cheap. The sound is a very hollow and loose click, as if every key rattles when you press any of the others. Contrast this to a more subtle tap that I would expect from a higher-quality keyboard (e.g., the world-renowned Lenovo Thinkpad keyboards).
I type easily 80 wpm on my laptop and other computer keyboards, but this keyboard slows me down. After about a half hour of constant typing on this, my wrists hurt and my hands are tired. These issues stem from two critical design failures:
1. The keys require too much pressure to depress: no "touch typing" is possible. 2. The keys travel too far - the experience is like typing on a sponge.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this piece of garbage.

A great, inexpensive Dell keyboard Jun 26, 2011
By John Mollman I purchased this Dell keyboard because I like it's style and how the keys come right to the edge of the keyboard. I'm still using it about a year after the purchase and it's still going strong.
This is a quality keyboard at an extremely reasonable price. Of course I would recommend this keyboard to a friend!
Beautiful May 02, 2012
By E Ever since getting this keyboard with my first dell computer I haven't used another type yet. I like the keys how they are risen so that when you type you can hear the clicks as if you were writing on a typewriter also I like how it is compact, there is no extra plastic. It is a pleasure doing essays and writing papers with this keyboard lol I just love this keyboard!!
Great Keyboard if you want tactile feedback! Apr 23, 2012
By Chris M I purchase these for people that want a keyboard with tactile feedback like older keyboards rather that the soft and quite modern style keyboards. These work well and last.
