1Avoid at all costs  Oct 01, 2010 By G. Dorazio
To put it bluntly, this mouse is terrible in just about every respect. Before even using the mouse, I noticed a very strong plastic smell to the point that it makes my office smell. It's incredibly light and flimsy; the plastic didn't seem to fully be finished in the sent that there were still little plastic fragments hanging off the edges. Tracking is ok, but it's far too fast by default. The scroll wheel is nearly unusable as it tends to move from left to right as it's being used. When the wheel is on the right, it generally scrolls somewhat decently. When it makes it to the left side, it hardly scrolls at all. Occasionally, using the wheel will make scroll briefly in the opposite direction you had wanted to go. I've seen the price of this mouse posted at low as $3- and that is highway robbery. Spend and extra $10 and get something decent, heck even a used Microsoft mouse would do better.

1Don't buy it  Jul 23, 2010 By RockerMom "JP"
After about 30 hours of use the scroll wheel broke off and it was useless after that. Don't waste your money. I then purchased a Kensington.

1Not a very good optical mouse  Jul 12, 2010 By DallasGuy
This is not a very good optical mouse. The scroll wheel doesn't work very well...while trying to scroll up or down, the cursor actually jerks up and down. It's difficult to look at and sometimes it actually seems to scroll the wrong direction. This is a very basic function of a mouse and if that doesn't work correctly, the mouse is basically worthless in my opinion. The mouse works other than that, but the scrolling problem is bad enough to say "avoid this mouse at all costs".

1Save your money. It's "buggy".  Feb 20, 2010 By pelican1955
The only good features about this mouse is that it's inexpensive and it looks cool. Other than that, avoid this product. I had a 10 year old microsoft mouse that had a ball underneath that needed cleaning every 6 months or so. Thought I'd upgrade to an optical mouse. I chose this one by Gear Head. Supposedly it's plug and play. I plugged it in and turned on the computer. I quickly learned that it plugs, but it don't play.

Boot up was very slow. The mouse worked but my keyboard wouldn't function. I went back to the old microsoft mouse, and everything worked fine. Tried it twice more with the same results. I don't know what it is, but there is something "buggy" about this mouse that interferes with my computer.

So, I think I'll keep my old mouse a little while longer and just chuck the Gear Head in the trash basket. I guess there's the reason it only cost (...).
