Limited functionality with ipod classic or 3rd gen nano Oct 25, 2007
By Todd_623 Rated at 3 stars because of Apple, not Kenwood.
New ipod classics and 3rd gen nano's have new video encryption that requires a "chipped" cable to work properly for video output. So where this cable is made to be all-in-one plug and play, it won't work for the newest ipods.
Not Kenwoods fault, and they might make some firmware updates on some radios to fix this. But for now it is broken and requires said firmware fix or possibly a new cable model.
Presumably fine for older ipods, but new users should be aware of the video problems.
My personal case involves a 3rd gen nano and a dnx7100 head unit. Audio is buggy (freezing w/no response - requiring a reset of the nano) and video gives instant freeze.

Did it's job Sep 10, 2008
By V. cincola Not much to review since this product is just a cable. However this product makes connecting your iPod to a compatible Kenwood head unit very easy and gives you full control on the iPod as well as charging. With this cable you can connect your iPod stash it somewhere out of the way and never have to touch it again.

Not for iPhone Jul 29, 2008
By D. Allison Great cable for standard iPods. Will work with iPhone (I have a 3G), but you get a notification on the iPhone screen that it's not compatible and suggests that you turn on Airplane Mode. I hit "Cancel" and it still works fine.

I bought this for my Kenwood Excelon DNX8120 to play my 80GB iPOD Classic. Works perfectly fine. No problems as of yet!
