I bought this not knowing I didn't need it, the interface cable for the Kenwood unit eliminates this on 08 and up Kenwood receivers.

I bought this unit to work with my new HD942U. From the moment I hooked it up it has worked flawlessly with my Sirius Connect. It's powered from the head unit which means no mistakes or additional wiring.
Happy listening to Sirius! Apr 30, 2012
By Junebug The product arrived quickly and was packaged well. This was a breeze to install. I had all of the other equipment installed waiting for this arrive. 5 minutes after delivery, I was listening to my Sirius Radio.
Easy Installation Jan 25, 2012
By C. Saunders II The Kenwood Sirius adapter worked perfectly fine with my Kenwood KDC MP438U car stereo, and the SIRIUS SCC1 Connect Universal Tuner. It was very easy to install, and I have been using it in my vehicle since October 2009 without any problems. Some Kenwood car stereos may need a special adapter wire to convert the interface adapter's signal to the Kenwood's CD changer outlet. Just make sure you research your car stereo's setup instructions beforehand.

Nothing to write except: you need this for newer Kenwood headunits and install is a snap with the additional Sirius piece.
