By Hoff I have a slightly different version of these subs. There a little older. They are 750w max 150rms, but im running over 1000 watts rms to them and they havent blown yet. They are a great sub for the money and i would highly recommend these. Not really as good for comp subs but for starters they are great. I also think these sound alot better in a sealed box vs. ported so keep that in mind.

I have one of these subs hooked up to a 500 watt bolt amp (http://www.amazon.com/LIGHTNING-AUDIO-BOLT-B250-1-AMPLIFIER/dp/B0007WTE44/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1276798188&sr=8-1) and a jvc kd-hdr20 head unit. sound quality is very good for the price, it does begin to distort when i get the volume up really high on bassy songs. it is still really loud and good sounding for a single sub i think though, so if you want to hear some thump but not shake the windows in people's houses when you drive by i would recommend this sub. also it looks pretty good too.
