Power House speakers! Jan 18, 2012
By Brett B I bought a pair of these used from Craigslist in a custom dual slot ported box and tried them out breifly on a RF Prime 1000 watt mono amp and the sounded pretty good. Under powered i know but its for a big upgrade so i put them aside to work on.
The carpet on the box was raggy and needed replaced,after braking the box down and removing carpet and wiring it was time to sand the box down to prep for new carpet. Rewired to 1 ohm and installed speaker terminal to look and work right. Old set up just had wires coming out of the box and i did not like that kind of shotty set up.
For the upgrade coming up i have a RF T1000.1 to push those bad boys and we all know that with RF it really means more like 1200 watts of power so i will keep the gain way down so i dont blow them. But the look awesome now in there remodeled housing and way excited to hear how hard they will hit.
