5Great Stereo  Jul 24, 2008 By N.C. Liberg "the Mad Modder"
This is a great CD player. It has many features, but is not that hard to use them. I bought it for my 2007 Ford Ranger XL and except for the hole left, since my truck came with a taller, more basic tape deck, it looked great. However since I'm a fairly skilled person, I made a carbon fiber plate to cover the hole. Now it looks wonderful. For those of you not so handy, adapters are available to eliminate the hole if it doesn't fit perfectly in your vehicle. Anyway, this is a great stereo for the price and I'd recommend it to anyone I know who is looking for a stereo with the features that this has.
Things I liked:
1.Will play not only audio cds, but also data ones that have MP3s and WMAs.
2.Input jack is great. Anything with a headphone jack can be plugged in and played on the car/truck speakers.
3.Removable faceplate is a cool security feature for those who park their vehicles in unsavory places. Fortunately I don't think I'll ever need to use it.
4. Has an actual lcd screen unlike many stereos that only have leds. So it's a lot smoother and more eye pleasing.

Things I didn't care for:
1.It beeps three times when you turn off the vehicle and exit it. I have grown used to it, though.
2. Every once in a while, it runs through its list of features on the lcd screen. Pushing "source" will stop it from going on and on.(can be turned off)

4Great Sound Quality  Jun 03, 2008 By joe "joe"
Great sound quality!!! Would recommend anyone to buy one. For this price, you can't ask for more.

One thing i do want to point out is, you can't press the number buttons to jump to a track when you are in CD mode. Those buttons don't do anything when you press on them. So, say you want to go from track one to track 12, you'll have to press the forward button 12 times to get to track 12.

5great stereo at a great price  Jul 10, 2008 By Jon S. Berndt "Aerospace Engineer / Guitar player / Photographer"
This car stereo is a great unit, and the price seems better than all the other ones I looked at. I wondered what the catch was, but I was completely satisfied after I had installed the unit. Installation was fairly easy in my '94 Ford Mustang, though the instructions for installation seemed a bit out of order. Other than that, Sony seems to have paid attention to what customers (or at least this one) want in a car stereo.

55 Star  May 10, 2008 By ron j dio "ronald"
Very nice unit. It replaced a similar but older one so it was quite easy to install (1995 4Runner). Extremely easy to program and adjust to my tastes. Very good reception and play back.

4Works Great For HD.  Jan 30, 2010 By Steve C
I love this stereo. It has a lot of features for the price. It works great with the HD radio adapter for good sound on AM and FM and I never had any problems with the HD dropping out while I drive around. The only thing missing is a memory card reader and USB jack for playing MP3's from a memory stick. The display is large and easy to read. The only things I don't like about the radio are that it has too many small buttons that are named strangely with tiny text. It's hard to figure out how to do simple things like turn it on and off and select AM or FM. Also, the HD radio adapter costs more than the radio, is bigger than the radio itself and has lots of cables to connect! Why can't they build it all into just one unit?
